What is Ford's new midsize electric truck called?
The Ford Fathom™, the first vehicle produced on Ford's new Universal Electric Vehicle Platform.
What does “Fathom” mean?
Ford named it Fathom because real depth comes from deeply understanding how you live; there's far more beneath the surface than meets the eye.
What does it cost?
A starting MSRP of $28,350. That does not include destination and delivery, which is $1,595, or taxes, title, license fees, and dealer documentation fees.
Does every Fathom come with BlueCruise?
Yes. Every Ford Fathom will be BlueCruise capable for hands-free driving on prequalified sections of divided highways. BlueCruise requires an active subscription.
When do preorders open?
Ford says preorders begin early in 2027, with initial customer deliveries targeted for later that year.
Can I reserve one through Romeo Ford of Saratoga?
Not yet. Ford hasn't opened preorders. Add your name to our Fathom list and we'll reach out the moment we can take an order, so you're ahead of the line rather than finding out from a headline.
Where would I service a Fathom near Saratoga Springs?
Right here on Route 50. Our shop is staffed by factory-trained Ford technicians, and we offer Romeo Mobile Service and Ford Pickup & Delivery if you would rather not come to us.
Can I put my current vehicle toward one?
Yes. We'll appraise it whenever you'd like a number to work with, and take a fresh look closer to delivery since values move.
Where are the photos?
Ford has begun teasing the Fathom and sharing information about the truck, but traditional full exterior production photos and complete vehicle specifications have not yet been released. That means some of the Ford Fathom images, renderings and concepts you may see circulating online are third-party interpretations or speculative renderings and may not represent the final production vehicle. We recommend checking back here as Ford releases official photos and additional information.
